Yuri Yamamoto, Chandra Snell and Tim Hanami started a project to publish stories of Unitarian Universalists of color in an effort to lift up voices from the margins and to make our congregations more welcoming. Nevertheless, when we look at our history and the practice of our faith, certain theological themes dominate, and so I will argue that, yes, we do have in fact a theology of sorts, a theology that has been relatively clear and consistent through time. We are people diverse in beliefs and spiritual practices, yet joined in our shared ethical principles. Unitarian Universalists have different beliefs. Note that the trinity is not a Biblical concept it originated in the power structure of the Catholic Church. Unitarian Universalism affirms and promotes seven Principles, grounded in the humanistic teachings of the world's religions. Everyone is welcome here, no matter whom you love, the color of your skin, your nationality, ethnicity, gender identity or your religious or philosophical beliefs.
