One client has multiple locations across the site going to one controller and this has worked very well with about 20 APs. I have multiple AP's in a big building. Usually you would filter by IP and your ISP issued IP will be DHCP meaning it will change from time to time causing you to drive to the other site and have to update the firewall rules to get access again.
